I write to you to tell my story. Well, I always write to you Journal, but
this will be an adventure I do not want to forget! Who in their God's heart
would want to forget a venture like
this?!? Well I will not forget this one if my name counts on it! Mother
says I have my head in the clouds. I just wish I could find my Prince;
you know like in those wonderful old fair tails we were told of. Oh my
favorite was always "Romeo and Juliet" or "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."
Can you picture it? Being swept off your feet and carried to the clouds?
Well, even if I am such a Princess, as I am at the moment, it means
nothing of being swept off my feet . . . .
These flowers I hold are so beautiful, Journal. Purple rose buds with red
trimming around them. Do you think they will impress Lord Bradley? He's
always hard to please, but mother loves him and says I should try. Well,
I shall ask someone if they impress them, and if they should say yes then
I know they are able to impress Lord Bradley! I am a smart one I am, would
you not agree, Journal?
You would not believe what happened to me today! I was asking if those
flowers were the prettiest one anyone has ever seen, and they all said
"NO!" For goodness
sake!!! What am I to do?! Well Journal, I should not be writing to you,
but following the wind to a better batch of flowers . . To think I thought
those flowers would win a heart!
Today I decided to search into that castle, Journal. You remember the one
with the beautiful roses in the court yard? Well, when I decided to do
that I found myself speaking French through the whole way in. Yes! French!
Of course I didn't understand a word I was saying, but mom said it would
impress Lord Bradley. Who
would have guessed that a few words would impress a Prince! Why am I trying
to impress him anyway?? I do not like him, but yet I am here trying to
impress him! Well, I couldn't remember "I Love You" in French, but I was
sure thinking with all my heart to remember. Can you picture me, Journal?
Walking around saying "I Love You", well pretty close to it anyway, picking
flowers?? HaHa! Yes, it was a funny sight if I do say so myself.
Journal, a secret I must tell you about my journey into that castle. .
. I had found myself talking to a stranger and his friend. What were
their names again? Oh yes, I remember now. Lord Daniel and Lord Matthew.
I was quite surprised that they had dared to enter the castle, and I am
sure they were surprised to see a young girl as myself in there. But I
am fearless, Journal! Lord Daniel helped me with my French, and Lord Matthew
helped me with the flowers. They were a great couple I must say. But, Journal,
I think I am Juliet and have a Romeo in my mist. I must go, tell you soon
Journal!!! Yes, yes, a million times yes! 'Tis my Romeo that I have found!
Is that not the grandest thing you have ever felt??? I am a bird flying
through clouds, dearest Journal! Lord Matthew is my Romeo, and I
have found him in this fog of a castle! I am surprised at this, for I
came there with the idea of pleasing Lord Brad, but find myself falling
in a spell for Lord Matthew!!! How could this be, Journal? The Castle is
of magic, but how can it know my Romeo and me not know him at all? I will
have to test if he is my Romeo; I will make sure my eyes are not wondering
with my heart. I do not want to be mistaken for again, and it will not
happen again I promise you!
The New Juliet,
How can one bump into another so many times in a day, Journal? I have found
myself next to Lord Matthew more times than I am away from him. I do not
go to him and he
not to me, but we meet somewhere in between. What I mean by this, my dearest
of all friends, is I will be walking in the field near my house and there
I will find he is. I will be shopping in the market and, again, there he
is. I start a sentence for conversation, and he finishes it almost as quick
as I start it. Can this be a true love, or the devil pulling jokes to bring
me closer? I hope my heart is right to follow him, Journal.
