On March 6th, 1998, Monique and Matthew decided it was time to make their love whole. Like no other, they could not help but make the night a special one. Even if it was not real, and most of the people invited did now show as planned, it was a wonderful night! It was placed on a chat called mIRC under the small server of: toast.il.us.escapenet.org. Which, is not their normal meeting place on the net, but it suited the couple just fine. The wedding started at close to 7:30pm central time and lasted until close to 9pm (including the party). It was probably the shortest wedding in all history, but trying to make plans fit with this was very hard.
Monique ran in and out of the wedding channel more excited than any women could possibly be! No matter how much the guest told her to leave, she could not possibly do just that. Finially the bridesmaids pulled the happy bride into her room. Where a police officer was waiting them. Of course Monique had not know what the problem was, but the bridesmaids giggled and yelled "SURPRISE!" Monique laughed and eyed her friends shooing the stripper out of the room. Monique began to place her lovely dress and good luck charms on. "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a lucky sixpence in her shoe."
Mean-while, Matthew was pacing helplessly out in the main room. The men tried to calm him, but it was not very successful. How could anyone NOT be nervous or excited?? Finally the big moment was about ready to happen. Everyone seated themselves in place and the music began softly. To Matthew and Monique the wait was long, but soon they would meet again, almost as they had done such a long time ago.
The music played slowly as the Flower girls threw red and white rose pettles on the red carpet leading them to the alter; while the small young ringbearers hugged the ring pillows tightly. Bridesmaids entered with huge grins as they hung to the Bestmen that had courted them down the row. Then came the beautiful Maid of Honor with the Bestman looking mighty handsome together as they walked. The song that the wedding party slowly faded, and that very well known song for the bride to enter came sang throughout the church. The lovers' hearts fluddered wildly knowing that the time had come!
Monique walked slowly holding tightly to her fathers arm. The vale hid her face slightly as she past by all the watchers. Looking slightly from side to side, as if seeing who had all chose to come. As she made her way closer to Matthew and the preacher a tear fell down her right cheek slowly. Her father lifted the vale and kissed her cheek gently on the lips and hugged her with a grin. He shook Matthew's hand and whispered his congradulations and a little joke to lighten Matt up a little. "If you touch my daughter, I'll have to show you my riffle collection in the basement!" Of course everyone laughed, but Matthew only smiled trying to hold back tears of joy.
Matthew took hold of Monique's hand gently and led her the rest of the way to the alter. They looked at the preacher and smiled contently as they listened to the opening prayer. "Amen." They preacher held a glass out to Matthew and he sipped it, then handed to Monique for her to taste. They handed the goblet back and listen silently as the preacher continued to speak with his booming voice. It was now time to light the candle, so Monique and Matthew took a candle and together lighted the single candle on the alter.
The rings were given to them by the ring bearer, and Matthew smiled as he took the ring from the small boy. Matthew told hold of Monique's hand placing the ring on her finger he announced, "With this ring I thee wed." Monique began to do the same thing as a tear again rolled down her cheek. "With this ring I thee wed." Matthew smiled and he too began to have tears. The preacher again spoke, then finally stood next to the couple and prounced, "I now prounce you Husband, and Wife. You may kiss the bride, Matthew." And so Matthew took hold of both Monique's hands whispered how much he loved her, then kissed her. They both took a dove out of a cage, slowly walked outside, and there they let them fly free into the sky high above.
Our cake stood.. beautiful and ready for the first bite to be taken. But as fast as anything, Sherie's lovable kitten jumped in and made a mess. Someone from the back of the room screamed, "CAKE FIGHT!", which started in a roar of people throwing themselves at the cake to be able to fling it at the happy couple. Out of pure luck Monique did save one piece for herself and Matthew; which was fed to eachother with their hands.

Being that we had lost the wedding log  : - (  I retyped the entire wedding. Of course that's not exactly the way it went, but at least you can see it was a wonderful evening! We thank everyone for coming to our wedding and we hope that our REAL  wedding is just as exciting, but, heh, with a lot more people! *adds  to the fun ;-)* We are VERY happy to have seen everyone that could make it!!

From Matthew --- I only wish the wedding was better than what it was. But I promise her, and myself...when we come to this great moment in real life, it will be all we have ever dreamed of. I wrote some things for her, and you may read them if you like. The first poem I wrote for her was 'Mi Serafín'. The second poem, the main poem, was written about our wedding. I wrote it before it even happened, so it was how I pictured it. Both poems were written from my heart, but I'm not sure if I conveyed what I wanted to, my feelings. Words are so hard to come across. No set of words seem good enough for my baby, for my love. But if you like, you can view the poems here. The main page was a lot better laid out, but I fudged it for you lovely people. ;o) So here's the letters I wrote her, enjoy. Thanks for checking out our special day. :)
